I'm Doctor Maureen Longworth.

Before medicine, I was in the field of psychology. I pursued a medical education to add the physical dimension to my approach of honoring the mind and emotion, specializing in Family Practice for a more holistic view.

During my San Francisco General Hospital residency a Community Medicine Elective in a small village in the Philippines provided a life-changing experience, initiating me in laying-on-of-hands healing. For one month I did healings under the supervision of the village healer in Rosales in Pangasinan on Luzon. Although initially it was difficult to integrate into our Western culture and belief system, as soon as board certification in Holistic Medicine became available to doctors I obtained it.

It wasn't until I discovered Energy Balancing Medicine that I finally found a way to integrate what my life experience has always shown me. Energy Balancing Medicine is based on the ancient traditions that recognize the blend of Mind, Body, and Spirit in and around every cell in the body, using the structure used for all time, found in Sanskrit in caves.

Now I use Energy Balancing Techniques with my individual patients and students and teach this method of self-healing to groups on invitation, here in Alaska and beyond.

My current teaching locations are Juneau, Yakutat, Fairbanks in Alaska, and I am open to an opportunity to teach in Anchorage. In California I am teaching in the Ventura/Santa Barbara area and Desert Hot Springs, just north of Palm Springs, and I am open to opportunities in Northern California as well. In the Midwest I teach in Columbus, Ohio and Moline, Illinois. I am open to teaching in other areas by invitation when you have students who are interested.
